Question by Cantankerous: Who is it that teaches christians that Evolution says we evolved from Monkeys?
Because that’s not what evolution says. So where do so many christians get this idea from? And why are they so enamored of this faleshood as to repeat it so much?
Is there some sort of Christian book that says the theory of evolution says that Humans evolved from monkeys?

Question by rook9566: How can mimicry in the animal world be explained by evolution?
For instance, there is an insect larva that looks like a bird dropping. If evolution is a slow process, how did this larva evolve? The first ones that didn’t look as much like bird droppings would get eaten. They would have no advantage over any other form or shape. Its only the final form that works to fool predators. I am not making a case for creationism or ID, I’m just trying to grasp the concepts better. Is there any theories that evolution is somehow linked subconsciencely to the parents?

the insects that looked the most like bird droppings survived the best so they constantly looked more and more like bird droppings

it might be better if you used an example of something that actually happened

Edit: This is microevolution, so the insects that looked the most like the bird droppings would only get eaten slightly less then the others, so the process would take hundreds of thousands of years
