Types Of Diabetes Mellitus.

There are four types of types of Diabetes Mellitus.
1. Type 1 diabetes: Formerly, it was called as Insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) and is caused due to lack of insulin. Mostly the Type 1 diabetes is caused in young age. Type 1 diabetic patients are more prone to diabetic ketoacidosis. The observed signs and symptoms in Type 1 diabetic patients are polyphagia, polyuria, polydipsia, fatigue and rapid weight loss.
