Jaundice is a disease where your whites of the sclerae and possibly your skin develop a yellowish colour. The reason for this is too much of bilirubin in the blood and the term is called as hyperbilirubinemia. Normally bilirubin is made up from old red blood cells in the spleen. The bilirubin then goes to the liver, where it’s combined with other molecules to make bile. The bile juice helps in breaking down the fats into a form body can use.
