Multiple sclerosis is a nervous system disease which affects your brain and spinal cord. It is a non-contagious chronic autoimmune disorder of the central nervous system which leads to variety of neurological symptoms occurring in small attacks. The disease damages the myelin sheath which is the very material that protects the nerve cells of our body. This damage blocks the messages between your brain and your body making you partially paralytic. Multiple sclerosis affects women comparatively more than men and often occurs within the age of 20 and 40.
