Question by Christine: What is easier biology or anatomy and physiology?
I am debating on whether to take anatomy and physiology or biology. I don’t really like bio, i think it is kind of boring, but i heard anatomy and physiology is hard.

Best answer:

Answer by Abi
It’s better to take a challenging course you love than a boring course that’s easy. If you love A&P, you will have a great time no matter how challenging it is. Wouldn’t you love to know everything about the human body? If you do, then you won’t stop at anything to get all the information about it! That way, you’ll be learning for the sake of learning, which always leads to a great grade!
The only thing is, don’t you have to take biology to get into A&P? You can’t fully appreciate the body without learning the basics! Also, don’t perceive biology as a course trying to teach you genetics……animals you could care less about…..glucose……BORING…..
You should perceive biology as a course that teaches you how molecules work together to create life as we know it! This enhances A&P immensely.
Good luck!

Question by UniversallyUnknown: what are my career paths if i take either microbiology or human physiology?
i’m not sure what career i wanted but i know i wanted to work in the health/ medical department.

Best answer:

Answer by Milena
A degree in physiology opens the door to many career opportunities. Many students who’ve achieved the degree decide to pursue a career in fundamental research in laboratories and, therefore, continue their studies towards an M.Sc. or Ph.D. or they find employment/training in pharmacology, teaching, forensic science, radiography,
dietetics, nursing, physiotherapy or other branches of the health service.

As far as microbiology is concerned, in my opinion, microbiologist is the best career you can choose in that particular field.

Question by Tailpipe: What is the difference between physiology, microbiology, and molecular biology?
I’m trying to decide what I should major in during college. Which specialty does what? Which is the fastest growing? Which would prepare me for medical school the best?
I know the medical school process: there’s no need to counsel me on that. And trust me, they are all majors at the college I plan on attending. Will anyone intelligent please give me an answer?

Best answer:

Answer by R B
I’m not going to answer the difference between the disciplines listed, you can easily look them up on the internet. However, the best source of prereqisite courses for a specific medical school would be best answered by the individual school.

Generally students wanting to enter medical school often benefit from an undergraduate pre-medical curriculum including physics, inorganic chemistry, human biology and organic chemistry.

Answer by esmerelda
That’s actually a pretty good combination because Physiology and Micro overlap quite a bit. As for easy, how would anyone know what’s easy for you or how tough courses are at your school? Ask other students what courses they found less demanding. Good luck!
